What do we do?
Governors work with the Leadership Group at the school to promote continuous improvement in the education provided for all the children attending our school. We work together to make decisions on the overall direction of the school and set policies, targets, and development plans. We also decide how to make the best use of the school budget for the benefit of the children’s education. As governors we work as a team, deciding on things jointly and sharing responsibilities for the decisions we make.

At Northwood, the full Governing Body meets once every half term. Because of the complexity of a school, much of the detailed work is organised through its Resources and Curriculum committees. If you wish to contact a Governor please email them c/o office@nwschool.org.uk or If you wish to write to any governor, send it marked ‘Private and Confidential’ to the school and the letter will be passed on unopened. Finally, if you wish to speak to a Governor on the phone, please contact the School Office on 01923 836363 and arrangements will be made for you to be contacted.
